HHH serves not only as a first-response disaster relief team, but our program has also made it a priority to take multiple trips into the affected areas, bringing volunteers to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to victims. We want to show these people that they have not been forgotten, even after media attention has dispersed from the area
In 2020, HHH has already responded to disasters in Florida, Tennessee, Iowa and two storms in Indiana.
One of the storms that we responded to in Indiana was in our hometown of Vincennes. Strong winds toppled hundreds of trees. Our staff and volunteers hauled over 400 loads of debris working alongside city employees to clean up our hometown.
Executive Director Scott Shipman will say "it's not a matter of IF a storm hits your home, it's WHEN." We are grateful to be able to respond to our home community.
